The other day, I was taking a nap and I had a dream that I was seeing a blank sheet of music. I started humming notes because I wanted to see if I could make sheet music of the songs I hear when I walk on tiled floor (long story, haha). I started with A and heard the humming and noticed that there was a thick, yellow bar where the A is (I have a small music background, but it was in the acronym FACE) and on the yellow bar, A was outlined in a slightly different shade. I hummed B in my dream and that moved me up to the B and showed a similar bar that was dark purple (like a mix between my colors for 0 and 15), B was outlined in a similar way that A was. I was about to hum a C when I woke up... apparently I had actually been humming in my sleep and my mom wanted to know what I was doing.
My question is this: Was this just a really weird dream that ties into grapheme->color syn (which I know I have) or is this an SUI moment and I had a taste (no pun intended) of music->color? Is this in any way similar to what the music synees experience at some point or another when they think or see sheet music? It was really cool and I wish that I would have been able to see the rest of the scales.
